Song: Don't Look Back in Anger

Artist: Oasis

The 4th song off of their hit album "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" is a catchy yet up lifiting song. Oasis released their 2nd album in 1995, where this song instantly gained traction within the younger generation. The piano instantly grabs the listener as it creates a somber tone, only to be interrupted by the guitar and drums where the mood begins to change. Noel Gallagher (Guitar/Vocals) sings "You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out" which indicates the happiness that Sally feels throughout this song. Instead of a low feeling tone, the song begins to take on a new meaning as Sally learns to live her life with no regrets, and appreciate all of the good that she has been able to experience. Although there is no exact "Sally" that Noel is singing about, multiple reports have stated that it could have been about Sally Cinnamon which is a song that was wrote by The Stone Roses in 1995. Noel himself did claim that he wrote the hit song "after I came out of a strip club" so perhaps the Sally that he references in this song is simply a dancer that he may have met that night. Although there was inner band beef between Liam and Noel Gallagher, this song only brought their stardom to a different level where it reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart and was marked quintuple-platinum. This also marks the first single that Noel Gallagher sang lead in (usually sung lead on B-Sides of tracks).
